Dear all, I may be a little paranoid, but my MKIV Octavia 1.5TSI (2020) with just under 30,000 miles on the clock is sounding like this whilst idling. Is this a 'Normal' sound for these engines or is it something sinister, such as piston slap - The sound is worse when starting from cold. Also the idle is a little rougher than I would have

The most economical petrol engine is the 1-litre TSI with an official figure just shy of 60mpg. While that’s good, it’s worth noting that both 147bhp 1.4 and 1.5 TSI engines are within a couple of mpg of that, so if you can afford more there’s very little economy sacrifice for their greater performance.

Just acquired my Sokda Superb Sportline 1.5 TSI 150 manual gearbox, manufactured mid December 2018. I wanted to give a quick feedback about this engine. The car runs very smothly, no kangorooing at all, no dying. Still in running-in but just drove 200km mostly in highway and wow I am so impressed by the car.
