Edit: It seems Origin still sells the original Dead Island [www.origin.com] and Dead Island Riptide [www.origin.com] but that does mean you need an EA account. I didn't know about a new version of Dead Island but what I've noticed is the original Dead Island and Dead Island Riptide are no longer on Steam being replaced with the Definitive Edition so you can't buy the original games.
