Thataside, my wife currently has a 98 s70 with 240k miles that runs like a top. My last Volvo was a 92 740 with 400k miles that was running great when I sold it. I had an 89 740 with 250k miles that never missed a beat, til my buddy drove it into 4 feet of water (flooded road), they don't make good boats. But great cars, and easy to work on, yes.

MostVolvos are AWD. They’re very good and quite reliable. I’ve had two 2.5l XC70s make it deep into the 250k mile area. Then they were sold to someone who drove it further. We currently have a 3.2L XC70 and it’s the most comfortable and lowest cost of ownership car we’ve ever owned.
Buyinga used volvo (V70) I've never owned a volvo before so I'm just curious if anybody has any suggestions/advice when looking at a used one. The car in question is a 2005 V70 with a 5-speed automatic transmission and a 2.5L engine with the turbo. The odometer reads ~130k. Priced at $7000. On the surface, everything looks pretty good
MostVolvos will be reliable as long as they've been taken care of. I would suggest looking at the different specs of each model, and decide which one fits you best in terms of usage.
