Go diesel I would say, its a more relaxed drive than the petrol which you have to work to get the best out of it.

I seem to remember reading about them using an excessive amount of oil but not sure if that was just someone with a problem car.

Helpfull hint evey now and again drive aggresivley (not at other drivers), reving the engine hard, this will keep your DPF clean and avoid having to replace or get All Honda Cars, fitted with the I-DTEC engine will have a DPF system fitted from the factory.
