It is definitely a little slow for street and portrait though. It’s not as “sharp” as my EF 100 f2.8 L. But honestly most lenses aren’t. The 24-105 has similar IQ through most of the range as the 50mm f1.8. I’d say that’s pretty good especially for the price. I got mine for $119 from canon refurbished.
