I heard about a mod that allows you to play Alyx without a vr headset like a regular Half life. But honestly, I will not recommend it because it will remove what's making HL Alyx so special. Vr movement will be replaced by simple mouse or key clicks, actions like throwing a grenade or interacting with anything will be pointless.
Best way to play Half-life Alyx? Was thinking about buying Alyx but don't want to set up a bunch of stuff to get it to play nice. Half Life Alyx only black screen. everything works on my Q2 except Alyx. It does load, i see valve logo, later a stylized sand clock. Some strange sounds, too. But thats all. I doesnt load any further.
